For seven years, Newark was a place where I thrived.
A city of ambition, contradictions, history, and possibility. A city where towering buildings share streets with generations of businesses, families, and communities whose stories deserve to be remembered.
Newark has endured economic decline, racial inequality, political upheaval, and reinvention. Yet its identity has never belonged solely to its skyline.
Its identity lives in its people.
