About the Creator
My name is Ty Jones. I'm a photographer, storyteller, and the founder of Bigger Than Me Media and Echoes of Ty.
My creative journey started in television post-production. I spent years working behind the scenes on projects for HBO, Netflix, National Geographic, BET, and more. From the outside it looked like I had it together. Inside I was still searching for my own voice and my own truth.
I found it through photography.
The camera became more than a tool. It became a lifeline. Through the lens I learned how to slow down, how to see, and how to be present. A year ago I was lost in addiction, fighting to survive. Sobriety gave me my breath back. It gave me clarity. I would spend hours walking with my camera, and it was the only time I felt fully at peace — like God was speaking to me through the lens. Photography quite literally saved my life.
Echoes of Ty was born from that transformation. The work I create is not just about images. It is about sparking conversation and change. It is about making you feel something, making you want to learn something, and leaving you with a piece of a story you didn't know you needed. I am drawn to the soul of a moment — the beauty that exists in the middle of struggle, the resilience hiding in plain sight, the humanity we share but rarely stop to see.
Bigger Than Me Media is my commitment to creating with purpose. Telling stories that matter. Making space for voices that are too often overlooked. Especially for people who don't always see themselves represented, I want my work to say clearly that your story has value and your life matters.
This is the most personal work I have ever done. It is rooted in honesty, growth, faith, and the belief that art can heal.
If you walk away with anything, I hope it is this. Your life is bigger than the pain, bigger than the doubt, and bigger than the limits placed on you. Just like mine is.
Welcome to Echoes of Ty. Welcome to Bigger Than Me Media.
Love always,
— Ty
